Webcomic Layout

I thought I should mention the problem has been fixed. A reader offered and produced a replacement php script to display the comics. It's already been implemented in most of the longer comics on the site. It even creates the pages of links divided by chapters by itself, and has more navigation options when viewing a comic.

I need to iron out some of the comics still, there are three scripts used for the comics. There's the old script that was never replaced on a few, the javascript script (easiest to identify because they aren't leading zeroes on the page of page links), and the new script (which is what I need to change them to now).

I'm also wondering if I should put together some of the shorter similar comics. I could theoretically put the TT comics together just as different chapters, or it might make sense to put all of the anniversary comics together as different chapters in the same setup.

Er, I mean I moved the image files if you were trying to get to them directly. I've replaced the web pages for most of the comics to something that works now.

I noticed, but I didn't know why until today. Snoopy (the webspace owner) said that the webhost moved the site to a new server and accidently messed up the location of things.

The website is visit-able (although the forum and the comments aren't working), but not at the usual address. He said he's trying to get them to fix the problem.

At a different address. But because it's at the wrong place on the server, the forum and comments don't work. Hopefully it'll get moved to the correct place and everything will work again.

I haven't updated yet, so there isn't anything new people are missing.

It has been down for two days or so for me (but maybe it might seem different based on different time zones). Or maybe it came back on for a short time, or maybe it was a cache of the website.

It usually takes about two days for people to start asking when there is a problem. About four people have asked today about it.
